Planet Automation respects your privacy and provides users with the ability to request the deletion of personal information associated with our website, services, and communications, including communications conducted through WhatsApp.
How to Request Deletion of Your Data
If you would like Planet Automation to delete personal information associated with you, you may submit a data deletion request using either of the following methods:

In your request, please provide sufficient information for us to identify the information you would like deleted. This may include:
- Your full name.
- Your email address.
- Your telephone or WhatsApp number.
- A brief description of the service or interaction associated with your request.
Please do not send passwords, verification codes, access tokens, banking information, or other sensitive authentication information with your request.
WhatsApp Data Deletion Requests
If you have communicated with Planet Automation through WhatsApp, you may request deletion of personal information associated with those communications.
Please email info@planetautomation.co.za with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and include the telephone number you used to communicate with Planet Automation through WhatsApp.
Where appropriate, you may also request deletion by contacting us directly through the same WhatsApp conversation.
Identity Verification
To protect your information from unauthorised deletion requests, Planet Automation may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
We will only request information reasonably necessary to confirm that the request relates to you.
What Happens After Your Request
Once we have received and, where necessary, verified your request, Planet Automation will:
- Identify the personal information associated with your request.
- Delete or anonymise information that is no longer required.
- Confirm that your request has been processed where reasonably practicable.
We will process valid deletion requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Information We May Need to Retain
In certain circumstances, Planet Automation may be required or permitted to retain some information despite a deletion request.
This may include information required for:
- Compliance with legal or regulatory obligations.
- Accounting and tax requirements.
- Fraud prevention and security.
- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
- Maintaining records that Planet Automation is legally required to retain.
Where information must be retained, we will limit its use to the purpose for which retention is required.
Meta and WhatsApp
Planet Automation may use services provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., including the WhatsApp Business Platform, to communicate with customers.
A request submitted to Planet Automation applies to personal information controlled by Planet Automation.
Information independently collected or controlled by Meta or WhatsApp is subject to their respective privacy policies, terms, and data-deletion procedures.
